Thank you for your participation in the XV IFTA World Congress!
The XV IFTA World Congress, in collaboration with the FFF in Iceland, was a great success. The scientific program was wonderful, our plenary and sub plenary speakers were fantastic and the workshops and brief presentations amazing! We will be posting the presentations on our web site soon, so don't despair if you couldn't make it to Iceland, or if you could not take all the notes you wanted to.
The weather gods were good to us, the weather remained beautiful throughout the congress. Right afterwards it started to rain but then warmed and was 15¨ c. for awhile but now it is just freezing. So we were very lucky, even for our boat trip to the island of Videy for our Congress dinner. The weather was good and the sea calm. Videy was a wonderful place to celebrate. It has a long and fascinating history, and many wonderful works of art. Yoko Ono was in Videy the day after us, and she raised a peace column on the island in memory of John Lennon. Imagine!
Thank you all for coming to Iceland and for making the XV IFTA Congress a wonderful and memorable experience both professionally and personally.
